Vicky from Fredericksburg

I was heading to a doctor’s appointment when I got in the car accident. I was changing lanes and the car in front of me was at a complete stop.  The car behind me hit me going 65 miles per hour, pushing me into the guardrail. I don’t remember anything else about the accident.

I went to the hospital with a lot of injuries. I was overwhelmed. I went to an attorney at another firm, who kept my case for several months and then told me he couldn’t help me because I couldn’t remember what happened. That attorney really had me believing I wouldn’t get anything – that this was my fault, even though the defendant had admitted he was the one to hit me. I told that attorney I was going to find someone else who would help me.

When I first met with Wil Van Winkle, he told me ‘I like cases like this – I got this.’ And he did. He got my case opened again with the insurance company after it had been closed. The communication was great. He would ask how I was doing, even outside of the case. He was a bulldog. Marie, his legal assistant, was amazing too.

I am so grateful to Wil. With what I dealt with at the other firm my self-esteem was low. I really got the short end of the stick before coming to Allen & Allen.  Wil turned my life around completely, I wanted to give him a big hug. I cried when I walked out of the office with the check. I’ll be handling Wil’s cards out – he’s unbelievable.
