Our Investigation Team

Tim Smith - Chief Investigator

Before joining Allen & Allen, Tim was a police officer with Chesterfield County Police Department, serving in the Uniform Operations Bureau, the Special Investigations Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and retiring from the department as Unit Commander of the Property Crimes Section. He now heads the investigations department and strives to build and maintain relationships with law enforcement to deliver valuable support efficiently and effectively to clients.

Ronald P. Gagne - Investigator

Ron brings experience gained from a 28-year career with the Virginia State Police, where he retired at the rank of Sergeant. He specializes in obtaining electronic, photographic, and physical evidence essential for personal injury cases.

Cassandra Miller - Investigator

Cassandra gained investigative experience while working at several state law enforcement agencies. She has been with Allen & Allen since 2007, and calls upon that experience in law enforcement to look for environmental details while investigating collisions and to discover any contributing factors that insurance companies may miss.

Elizabeth "Ruth" Baker - Investigator

Ruth came to Allen & Allen after a 25-year career with the Chesterfield County Police Department. She worked as a detective for 10 of those years, and then served as a supervisor in the Criminal Investigations Bureau – Crimes Against Persons Unit. Ruth excels at interviewing parties involved in claims, and identifies information gathered during these interviews that can prove invaluable to client claims.
