Investigating Your Case

Negotiating Your Case

When we receive a settlement offer from the insurance company, we will review it carefully with you, and together we will decide what our next steps should be. Your attorney will provide you with our best professional legal advice, but of course, the final decision is up to you. Your input during this step is very important.

Filing a Lawsuit

The goal of any personal injury case is to get fair and just compensation for the injured victim. If together we decide that the insurance company’s settlement offer is not fair to you, and they are not willing to further negotiate to reach amicable terms, then—with your consent—we will file a lawsuit on your behalf.

If appropriate, your attorney might recommend attempting to resolve your case through arbitration or mediation with an impartial arbitrator or mediator. In some cases, arbitration or mediation is a reasonable alternative that can be less expensive and time-consuming than a trial.

If arbitration or mediation fail to achieve a satisfactory outcome, then your attorney will prepare your case for trial before a jury. We understand that the idea of taking a case to trial can cause unnecessary anxiety and worry. Before and during the process, your attorney will prepare you for what to expect during each step.
