36 Central Virginia Law Enforcement Officers Honored by MADD and Allen Law Firm

On Monday September 29th, attorneys of the personal injury law firm of Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen gathered at the Hilton Short Pump to honor 36 Richmond Metro Area law enforcement officers who have kept Virginia roadways safe from drunk drivers in the past year. Allen & Allen attorneys Paul D. Hux of Petersburg, Jamie Kessel of Henrico and Melinda South of Richmond were present at the event and are known for their extensive efforts in the central Virginia community working with students, parents, educators and law enforcement for this purpose.

Mr. Hux presented the award for the most arrests of impaired drivers for the region to Officer Robert L. Simmons with the Colonial Heights Police Department. Officer Simmons made 59 DUI arrests this year.

Allen & Allen has supported MADD’s Law Enforcement Recognition Program and law enforcement agencies for many years. Allen & Allen attorney Jack Berry represented the Firm on September 22nd at the Charlottesville area event. Allen & Allen is proud to be a sponsor of the Walk Like MADD walking and running series. The Firm also partners with MADD and Napoleon Taxi at Richmond’s Innsbrook After Hours summer concert series to provide free sober rides home to patrons during the concert season. Together with MADD, Allen & Allen is dedicated to educating all drivers about the perils of drunk and distracted driving.
