Verdict: $367,000

Attorneys Trent S. Kerns and Scott D. Fitzgerald represented the plaintiff, who was struck at an intersection. The plaintiff was traveling southbound on Chester Road, while the defendant, who was traveling northbound, crashed into her while attempting a left-hand turn. Two eyewitnesses following the plaintiff testified that the plaintiff had the green light when she entered the intersection. At the scene, the defendant told the eyewitness it was her fault but later changed her story after making a phone call.

The defendant pled guilty to her failure to yield, but still did not admit liability and testified she had a green arrow. As a result of the crash, the plaintiff suffered multiple injuries, including seven broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

The jury deliberated for a little less than an hour and awarded the plaintiff $367,453.43, plus interest.
