Just in time for back-to-school season, Cover One was the latest recipient from the firm’s giving initiative, Allen & Allen Cares: Helping Our Heroes!
The firm presented former Hometown Hero Rob Reid with a $1,000 check to support Cover One. Reid is a board member and vice president of this non-profit, which provides resources and volunteer assistance to underserved athletic organizations and athletes in Central Virginia.
The Cover One Foundation recognizes the significant impact that athletics have on our youth. Being involved in athletics can open doors to opportunities in higher education, as well as help athletes maintain optimum health and stress management. The foundation is keenly aware of the role that resources and opportunities can play in helping an athlete or an organization reach their full potential. Many times those resources can be limited or non-existent. Cover One Foundation was created to “”level the playing field”” by providing the resources and volunteer assistance where they are needed the most in the community.
This donation was covered in Henrico Citizen, as well as the Cover One website. “On behalf of The Cover One Foundation, we are immensely grateful for the support and generosity of Allen & Allen,” said Reid. “”As a 100% volunteer organization, individual and corporate donations are our lifeblood to carry out our mission. Allen & Allen Cares: Helping Our Heroes is the Allen Law Firm’s community giving program, which connects former Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes with grants to aid their local nonprofits.
