Virginia Super Lawyers 2010 List Includes Six Attorneys from Allen & Allen

Among the 2010 Virginia’s Super Lawyers, are six personal injury attorneys from Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen: George E. Allen, III, W. Coleman Allen, Jr., Douglas A. Barry, Paul D. Hux, Jason, W. Konvicka and Malcolm P. McConnell.  Richmond Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine released Virginia Super Lawyers on June 23, 2010. Only 5% of lawyers in the state of Virginia are named Super Lawyers.

Mr. George E. Allen, III’s significant achievements in the personal injury field include a groundbreaking extension of the Virginia statute of limitations in an asbestos related products liability wrongful death case. Over the years, he has handled numerous wrongful death, medical malpractice, and other catastrophic injury cases. Mr. Allen has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1987. He is a former president of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has served on the Board of the American Association for Justice and is a Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Mr. W. Mr. Douglas A. Barry currently serves as the president of the Allen Law Firm. Early in his career he served as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Richmond. Thereafter, he served as Special Agent for the FBI until he returned to legal practice as Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for Hanover County. He then joined Allen & Allen, bringing with him extensive legal experience handling complex automobile, medical malpractice, and products liability cases. Mr. Barry is a former president of the Hanover County Bar Association and currently serves on the National Advisory Board for the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. Mr. Paul D. Hux is armed with a broad range of experience in personal injury cases and jury trials.
