Jouya Rastegar

Meet Jouya

Jouya Rastegar is a resourceful, energetic attorney with wide range of experience in the legal field. Throughout his well-rounded legal career, he has serviced individuals, businesses, and government entities.

Most recently, he served as primary legal counsel for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, attending proceedings in federal and state courts throughout the country. He has also litigated for a multinational corporation and represented the Commonwealth of Virginia as a prosecutor. Jouya excelled at a firm with multiple practice areas, and while there, served on the D.C. Superior Court Probate Fiduciary Panel.

He found that his most rewarding experiences were when he helped navigate clients through difficult situations. This passion began when he was a student in his law school’s fair housing clinic, which was important to him. In private practice, he was on a list of court-appointed attorneys handling guardianships and conservatorships for the elderly, poor, and mentally ill. As a prosecutor, he primarily handled crimes involving domestic violence and sexual assault. These experiences have enriched his point of view, and he looks forward to a long career supporting his clients in personal injury cases.

Jouya is a D.C. sports enthusiast and loves to attend games, no matter which sport it is. He is passionate about travel, and enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog, attending family gatherings, and dining on fresh seafood along the Chesapeake Bay.
