For the 18th year in a row, the World Pediatric Project hosted its Treasures in Paradise fundraiser, and the immersive event made guests feel as if they’d been transported to Belize!

Allen & Allen attorneys were in attendance to support the cause. Each year, over 450 million children under five go without access to basic, life-saving surgical care. Because of this, approximately 17 million lives are lost annually from untreated conditions. The World Pediatric project works to fight this, by sending skilled surgeons to countries that lack a strong medical network. They perform life-saving operations on many children and work to improve the healthcare system in the countries they partner with.
Treasures in Paradise took place at Main Street Station, which was decked out with a tropical theme. There was delicious food, lively music, Belize-style dancers, and the grand finale: the auction! Guests bid on luxury vacations, both domestic and abroad. Best of all, the money raised went toward this worthy cause.
