Attorneys Jennifer Capocelli and Elyse Stiner aren’t just Workers’ Compensation attorneys at Allen & Allen, they are active in charities that serve their community. With the help of Claire Carr, BerkleyNet, and other firms, businesses, and individuals who donated, they successfully held an auction for Kids’ Chance.
Kids’ Chance of Virginia (KCVA) is a nonprofit organization that provides post-secondary and trade school scholarships to the children of Virginia workers who have been severely or fatally injured in a workplace accident. These events can be life-changing experiences for the whole family, and Kids’ Chance gives these students the educational tools they need to overcome any related setbacks.
At the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission’s Educational Conference, Capocelli and Stiner hosted a silent auction to benefit Kids’ Chance. With nearly 60 items taking up 8-9 tables, they were able to raise over $20,000 for this worthy charity! Their hard work paid off, and they received high praise from many people industry-wide, including defense attorneys, adjusters, physicians, deputy commissioners, full commissioners, and more.
Most importantly, the money raised will go far in creating new scholarships for Virginia children.
