The Allen Law Firm celebrates Kari La Fratta’s recognition as an Up & Coming Lawyer by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. This honor recognizes attorneys in their first 10 years of practice who are making a significant impact in the legal field.
Kari is a trial attorney in our Charlottesville office, where she passionately advocates for her clients. Before joining Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen, Kari practiced insurance and medical malpractice defense; experience that now gives her a unique advantage in advocating for injured clients. Kari also holds federal court experience, having argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Kari’s background and accomplishments throughout her career thus far make it clear to see why she was selected for this honor. Her results speak for themselves. In 2024, Kari was part of a legal team that secured the sixth-largest jury verdict in Virginia, as reported by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in its annual “20 Trials Return $1M-Plus Judgments” feature. Kari’s consistent excellence has earned her repeated recognition: she has been named a Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2020 through 2025 and included in Virginia Business Magazine’s Legal Elite from 2021 to 2024. In 2025, Kari worked alongside Derrick Walker to secure their client’s family a $5 million verdict in a medical malpractice case.
