Meet Jennifer
Jennifer G. Capocelli is Allen & Allen’s resident workers’ compensation authority, serving clients from the firm’s Richmond office. With more than 25 years of experience representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters, Jennifer offers clients a unique perspective on how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and resolve claims. She now uses that insider knowledge to advocate for individuals who have been injured on the job.
Before joining Allen & Allen, Jennifer served as a Senior Trial Attorney with The Hanover Insurance Group, where she litigated complex workers’ compensation cases involving permanent and total disability, traumatic brain injuries, and fatal workplace accidents.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has been a frequent speaker and educator on workers’ compensation law, presenting seminars and training programs for a variety of audiences. She has extensive experience handling workers’ compensation claims at both the evidentiary and appellate levels.
A proud VCU Ram, Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
Jennifer lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband. Together they have three children. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, distance running, and doing CrossFit. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Kids’ Chance of Virginia, an organization that provides scholarships to children whose parents have been seriously injured or killed in work-related accidents.
