Charlottesville Personal Injury Attorneys

The Allen Law Firm was founded by George E. Allen in 1910 in Lunenburg County. George moved his practice to Richmond in 1931, expanded his firm with the addition of his sons as partners, and there Allen & Allen quickly earned a reputation not only as a group of respected lawyers, but as a pillar of the community. This reputation accompanied the firm when it grew to more conveniently serve the Charlottesville area with the opening of an office there in 2008.

Allen & Allen is a family firm built on compassionate service, and we are committed to protecting our clients throughout your recovery and will fight for your fair treatment and compensation. Over our firm’s 100-year history, we have handled many complex and devastating claims with victims sustaining injuries ranging from broken bones to spinal cord or traumatic brain injury. The Charlottesville attorneys at Allen & Allen are equipped with the experience to achieve the most favorable settlement possible for your claim.

Our Commitment to Community

Our Charlottesville office proudly demonstrates its commitment to our community through continued patronage of programs and organizations that educate and enrich the lives of those within it.

Allen & Allen supports the local efforts of:

Virginia Teacher of the Year

The Virginia Teacher of the Year award honors an educator who represents the best in teaching in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the nation. Allen & Allen presents a cash award to VATOY recipients annually.

Blue Ridge Area Food Bank

The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank offers comprehensive hunger programs that help provide food to Charlottesville's most vulnerable residents: children, families, and seniors. Allen & Allen supports the mission of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank with financial contributions and yearly participation in Legal Food Frenzy, a competitive food drive organized by Virginia law firms.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD)

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) has been striving to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk and drugged driving since their inception in 1980. Allen & Allen supports the mission of this organization by sponsoring the MADD Annual Law Enforcement Awards. The event honors officers and troopers from the Charlottesville area and Shenandoah Valley who have gone above and beyond in regard to DUI arrests, education, community involvement, and helping to warn of the dangers of underage drinking.

Sprint Pavilion Fridays After Five

Allen & Allen is a proud sponsor of  Fridays After Five at the Sprint Pavilion. Dubbed "Charlottesville's favorite live concert series," this free, family-friendly event is held in the Downtown Mall and has been a local attraction for over 30 years. Each week, volunteers work the concessions on behalf of a variety of local non-profits who share in the proceeds, which raises tens of thousands of dollars to support their work in our community.

Our own community programs enacted in the Charlottesville area include:

George E. Allen Scholarship

Since 1991, we’ve been privileged to award a scholarship to students who embody the spirit, drive, and ideals of our firm’s founder, George E. Allen. Fifteen awards are presented each year.

Hometown Heroes

The Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes award has recognized Virginians who are responsible for generating positive change in the community or in the lives of others. These awards have been presented annually since 2010.

Sober Ride Home

Each New Year’s Eve, Allen & Allen partners with local taxi companies to reduce the number of intoxicated drivers on Charlottesville roads with the Sober Ride Home program. The program provides free rides home for revelers between 11:00 PM and 3:00 AM.
