For more than 100 years, our attorneys and staff have been inspired by those in the community who make Virginia a great place to live and work. That’s why each year, we share their stories through the Hometown Heroes program, which recognizes those who help others. From advocates for food justice to firefighters and nonprofit founders, the 2018 Hometown Heroes inspire positive change in the community and further the mission of service and action that our firm was founded upon.
Nominated by members of the community, 20 Hometown Heroes were selected in 2018.
“There is one common thread among the Hometown Heroes I speak with,” said Allen & Allen Marketing Coordinator Denise Johnson, “they are humbled and honored to be recognized for their contributions, but they are never in need of accolades. They simply want to make their community a better place.”
The program, which began in 2010 as a way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the firm, has become an annual event. 2019 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Hometown Heroes program. The process for nominating the 2019 Hometown Heroes will begin in April.
From days spent at the Redskins Training Camp to picnics at the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game, here’s a look back at the fun events we hosted to honor our 2018 Hometown Heroes:
