The plaintiff was a 44-year-old mother of three who was driving through the intersection of Starling Drive and Quioccasin Road in Henrico County. A truck owned and operated by the corporate defendant ran a red light and struck her.
She was transported to VCU by ambulance. She suffered rib fractures, an elbow fracture, a complete tear of her right ulnar collateral ligament, and a right rotator cuff tear. She required multiple surgeries and unfortunately, will suffer from permanent issues with pain and function. Her medical bills totaled over $350,000.
