Meet Wil
Philip Wilson “Wil” Van Winkle is an attorney with Allen & Allen in the firm’s Fredericksburg office. He focuses his practice on car accident and personal injury cases. As a fourth-generation member of the Allen family, Wil sees personal injury law as a meaningful way to help people during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Wil earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, he was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and made the Dean’s List from 2012 to 2014. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville. During law school, he competed on the Extramural Moot Court Team and worked with the Legal Aid Justice Center.
Before returning to Allen & Allen, Wil worked as a law clerk for the National Association of Attorneys General in Washington, D.C. He has also held roles as a writer and marketing intern and previously served as a Summer Associate with Allen & Allen.
Outside of work, Wil enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors. He likes backpacking, biking on both roads and trails, and playing disc golf. Most recently, he completed a backpacking trip through Peru.
