Louis D. Snesil

Meet Lou

Lou Snesil has been fighting for the injured since 1983. Lou serves as our workers’ compensation attorney based out of the Richmond, Virginia office. With over 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation, Lou is an authority in the field.  Lou not only provides valuable insight, but also a sense that he truly cares for each of his clients.

After receiving his law degree from the University of Richmond, Lou stayed local and began his practice. He was assigned his first worker’s compensation case in the 1980’s while working as an associate. After his time as an associate, Lou had his own firm in the 1990s. He then was of counsel since the early 2000s. Lou comes to us with a wealth of experience and an appreciation for what a successful workers’ compensation case entails.

Effective communication is a cornerstone of workers’ compensation claims, and Lou understands its vital role. He emphasizes the importance of keeping clients informed at every stage of their case, “At every turning point, I want them to know what is going on in their case. I want them to be involved.” Lou’s commitment goes beyond updates. He genuinely cares about his clients’ well-being and checks in to see how they are doing, fostering a supportive and empathetic relationship.

This truly shines when Lou speaks of his interactions with previous clients. One case involved a worker who fell off a roof and became paraplegic. This client’s extensive injuries resulted in him spending a month at VCU. The case took two years but – Lou remained dedicated to his client and is proud to have achieved a $1.5 million recovery.

Lou lives in Richmond, VA with his wife. They have two adult children who have graduated and started their own careers. In their spare time, Lou and his wife foster cats and enjoy collecting antiques.
