Meet Emma
Emma is an attorney in the Richmond office with a background in appellate and trial court clerkships. She focuses her practice on personal injury cases and is dedicated to fighting for the seriously injured.
Before joining Allen & Allen, Emma spent three years as a judicial law clerk in Virginia’s state courts, most recently at the Supreme Court of Virginia. She previously clerked at the Court of Appeals of Virginia, where she drafted opinions in civil and criminal matters, and at the Norfolk Circuit Court, where she prepared bench memos, opinions, and orders. Her time at each court gives her unique insight into how judges evaluate arguments and what makes a persuasive case. Earlier in her career, Emma worked as a legal assistant at the Southern Environmental Law Center, supporting litigators on federal civil cases.
Emma earned her B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College and her J.D. at William & Mary Law School, where she served as Senior Articles Editor of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal and as 3L Co-Chair of the Alliance of Students at the Polls. She represented clients through the Special Education Advocacy Clinic and the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic. Emma has been published in the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal and the Regent University Law Review.
In her free time, Emma enjoys creative needlework and model building.
