“I’m flabbergasted! Thank you,” said Mallory DuQuette, holding the sides of her face in shock. DuQuette is the 2020 recipient of the Marcella Murray Award, an annual award of distinction for a nominated Allen & Allen employee.

Named for the beloved legal assistant who passed away in 2010, the award is presented to an employee who exemplifies the character, service and client-first attitude that Marcella Murray is remembered for.
This year’s award ceremony looked a little different, as it took place via a Zoom meeting to keep in line with COVID-19 safety measures. Nonetheless, there was no shortage of excitement as Allen & Allen employees from Central Virginia and beyond tuned in to see her joyous reaction. “We always tell people we’re a small office up here in Stafford, but we’re mighty,” DuQuette said.
A legal assistant who has worked in the Stafford office for about eight years, attorney David Williams had no shortage of accolades for his co-worker. “Quite simply, she is one of the best legal assistants I have ever worked with…or in this case…worked for!” Williams said. “Mallory is the consummate professional who always has the ability to maintain composure and get the job done. She is a rock.”
