The law firm of Allen & Allen is pleased to announce that Richmond attorney, Ashley T. Davis, has been selected to join the Boyd-Graves Conference, an invitation-only conference that brings together lawyers from all regions of the state specializing in different practice areas to meet and discuss ways to improve the law.
Ashley, one of the youngest members of the conference, joins Allen & Allen attorneys and members Coleman Malcolm P. McConnell, III, and Derrick L. Walker.
“This is a wonderful achievement,” says Coleman. “She is a perfect fit for the organization, and the experience will give her an excellent opportunity to get to know other top trial lawyers across the state.”
The Boyd-Graves Conference was created in 1978 with the belief that civil practice in Virginia would become better if lawyers from different types of practices could collaborate and discuss ways to improve the law. Membership to the conference is fixed, and openings only occur when a current member withdraws.
Ashley, who is an adjunct professor at the University of Richmond’s law school, an instructor of legal writing and research for the Office of Continuing and Professional Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, and who spent 9 years representing defendants and insurance companies before joining the Allen Law Firm, hopes to bring her insight both as a current plaintiff’s attorney and former defense attorney to the conference.
“I am profoundly honored to be invited to this prestigious and influential group,” says Ashley. “I am dedicated to its principles, humbled by the invitation, and eager to get to work.”
