Each year, one Allen & Allen employee is designated as the recipient of the Marcella Murray Award, an honor named for the beloved Legal Assistant who passed away in 2010. This award is presented to a longstanding Allen & Allen employee who exemplifies the character, service and client-first attitude Marcella showed to both clients and employees.
The 2018 Marcella Murray Award recipient is Charlottesville Legal Assistant Ginger Fitzgerald.
Ginger, who joined the Allen & Allen team in 2008, is known for her hard work accommodating clients and making them feel like family.
Law firm President Edward L. Allen states: “Over and over again she goes above and beyond in her service to her clients and her fellow employees,” said Allen. “Ten years ago, she was one of the three individuals responsible for opening the Charlottesville office, and she is the last in that group of three who is still with us today.”
According to Ginger, it’s a privilege to be recognized as someone who is continuing to grow Marcella’s legacy.
“Marcella was loved by everyone in the firm and all of her clients. To receive this award in her memory is a tremendous honor. It’s a reminder of what a great group of people I work with and what big shoes I have to fill,” said Ginger.
