This prestigious position begins on July 12 and will last for a full year, where Mara will gain immeasurable experience before returning to Allen y Allen. “I look forward to becoming intimately familiar with the federal judicial process, and playing a role in what makes our Article III courts so important for everyday people. I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned at Allen and Allen to aid the judge in his decision-making, and of course take with me the values of helping others as I assist directly in the judicial proceedings.”

Thrilled at being chosen over a large pool of applicants, Mara is prepared to do a great deal of research and writing. She will also help the judge prepare for mediations, conferences, oral arguments and trials. This includes supporting the judge’s work in presiding over pre-trial criminal proceedings.

“This is an exciting and pivotal chapter in my career, and I can’t wait to gain amazing new insight into civil litigation, constitutional law, and criminal procedure,” Mara said.
