Coleman Allen Named in Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame Inaugural Class

Allen & Allen congratulates W. Coleman Allen, Jr. on his inclusion in the 2018 inaugural class of the Virginia Lawyers Weekly “Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame.”

Membership in the Hall of Fame is reserved for Virginia Lawyers who have achieved notable career accomplishments, made significant contributions to the development of the law in Virginia, made contributions to the bar, made contributions to the betterment of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and who have demonstrated efforts to improve the quality of justice in Virginia.

A partner and trial attorney at the Allen Law Firm since 1980, Coleman exemplifies the professionalism and high ethical standards synonymous with his family name. Special recognition he has achieved for his dedication to quality includes receiving the Patrick Henry Award for steadfast devotion to the just and sound government of the Commonwealth, naming by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia to the mandatory professional ethics program faculty, receiving The Professor W. McKinley Smiley, Jr. Lighthouse Award recognizing him as an outstanding lawyer in the field of academics, legal scholarship, and advocacy teaching and training, and receiving the Southern Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) 2018 War Horse Award in recognition of extraordinary contributions to the cause of justice.

Coleman and his fellow inductees will be honored at a ceremony held on June 12, 2018 at the John Marshall Hotel in downtown Richmond. Please join us in commending him for his continued excellence in the pursuit of fairness and justice.
