Cheryl from Henrico

Below is a letter to Richmond attorney, Christopher J. Toepp, from a former client’s mother:

I wanted to thank you for your help with Courtney’s case.

It has been 6 years since Courtney’s car accident. She is doing amazingly well now.  She graduated a year ago and has been working in the hospital ER in Roanoke … At her school graduation ceremony, she told her nursing instructors and fellow graduates about her accident and brain injuries and that she had been told that with her level of injuries, she would never be capable of working in an environment as challenging as the ER. She, therefore, set that as her goal.

Her first year of college was extremely difficult, as she was dealing with the normal challenges of being away from home for the first time, working on gaining acceptance in the very restrictive nursing program, and dealing with the new challenges of her recent brain injury, memory problems, vision challenges, frequent migraines, and overwhelming anxiety.

You helped not only financially, which was very helpful, but you helped support emotionally, assuring me that she would recover and be able to succeed.

I recall many extended conversations with you as you discussed your experiences with similar cases and other students you knew who overcame these difficulties.  These conversations were very meaningful to me and went above and beyond your role as her attorney.

I just wanted to let you know how far she has come since that time, and how much your help meant to our family and especially to me.
