Charles L. Allen

Charles L. Allen

Meet Charles 'Litt' Allen, attorney of counsel at Allen & Allen.

Charles “Litt” Allen’s tenacity and meticulous trial preparation have earned him the respect of both his clients and his adversaries. Son of Ashby Allen, a founding member of the firm, Litt is a member of the third generation of Allen family members who have worked at the firm. Litt has been of counsel at the firm since 2019.

Since joining Allen & Allen in 1983, Litt has gained extensive experience handling various types of personal injury cases including car crashes, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and premises liability. He strives to ensure that injured persons are treated fairly. He wants insurance companies to understand that these are people truly in need, not merely business transactions.

Litt is a former host of a local live television show, “The Allen Law Line,” which presented weekly discussions of legal and community issues. Litt places a strong emphasis on service and securing excellent results for his clients, and that focus and dedication help him to serve the firm as trial attorney.

Over the course of his 34-year legal career, Litt has handled a variety of personal injury cases, making recoveries for his clients ranging from a few thousand dollars to almost six million dollars. He provides litigation support and works on cases primarily in Central Virginia.

A resident of Richmond, Virginia, Litt enjoys spending time with wife, Carol, and their three children.
