The personal injury law firm of Allen & Allen is now actively seeking community nominations for the annual HOMETOWN HEROES award. The program, founded in 2010 in honor of the firm’s centennial anniversary, celebrates local individuals responsible for giving back to their communities and promoting positivity through their inspiring acts of selflessness around Virginia.
Nominations for the 2014 HOMETOWN HEROES award will be accepted from April 1, 2014 to May 23, 2014. Visit the Hometown Heroes page and fill out our short nomination form to submit your local heroes and their stories.
“Sometimes a small thing that you do can make a world of difference for someone else’s life,” said Trent Kerns, President of Allen & Allen. “The annual Allen & Allen HOMETOWN HEROES award is the firm’s way of celebrating Virginians doing good things for others, no matter how big or small. Our firm was founded on service and we draw strength from those giving back to their community, the real heroes.”
Previous winners of the HOMETOWN HEROES award have included community leaders, foster parents, disability advocates, small business owners, teachers, police officers, fire fighters, and more. Over 250 local heroes have been honored to date.
Allen & Allen will announce the list of 2014 Allen & Allen HOMETOWN HEROES on July 1, 2014. Finalists will be honored at a series of award events taking place in Richmond at Innsbrook After Hours, Fredericksburg at Celebrate Virginia Live, and Charlottesville at Fridays After Five.
