All rise! Allen & Allen attorney Stacy E. Lee has been appointed by the Virginia General Assembly to become a judge in Henrico County.
Stacy will serve in the Henrico County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in the 14th Judicial Circuit. She is the first member of the Allen Law Firm to serve as a full time judge, and the firm is thrilled to see Stacy recognized with this high honor.
Before joining Allen & Allen in 2019, Stacy served as staff counsel for an insurance company. Her experience as a defense lawyer for bodily injury and property damage cases gave invaluable insight into how insurance companies handle claims.
Stacy also served her community as an attorney representing clients in both criminal and civil cases. With a passion for helping people get their lives back on track, she has received numerous awards for service. In addition to being named to the inaugural class of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Influential Women in Law” in 2019, she also served as the president for the Old Dominion Bar Association, the statewide African-American bar association.
“I’m truly grateful for my time at the Allen Law Firm, and certainly felt like a part of the family,” Lee said. “While I will miss my colleagues, I strongly believe that to whom much is given, much is required. I hope that I can use this new platform to redirect the paths of our youth and help families stay together.”
Stacy’s term as a judge in Henrico County will begin May 1, 2021. It’s a bittersweet send-off, as she will be missed by her colleagues. Please join us in congratulating Stacy on this honorable achievement!
