The personal injury law firm of Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen, is seeking community nominations for its 11th annual Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes award. The award was first introduced to honor the firm’s 100th anniversary by recognizing the positive impact of local individuals who are giving back to their community. The firm is dedicating this years’ award to those people that are caring for our communities during these unprecedented times.
Allen & Allen President Edward Allen said, “The Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes award is the firm’s way of celebrating Virginians making our community better places to live, work and play. Our firm was founded on service over 110 years ago and we have always drawn strength from serving others. This year more than ever, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen our community come together in ways we have not seen before, and we look forward to recognizing those heroes this year.”
Previous winners have included community leaders, foster parents, disability advocates, small business owners, teachers, and first responders. Allen & Allen has honored more than 450 local individuals since the award was created, all of whom have shared their own unique and inspiring story of giving.
“It only takes a minute to recognize the heroes surrounding you. Help us spread joy at this time as we celebrate healthcare workers, non-profit founders, first responders, teachers, and other heroes who are working tirelessly to make our communities better places during this outbreak,” said Courtney Allen Van Winkle, Partner.
Nominations will be accepted from Monday, April 6 through Thursday, April 30, 2020. Heroes will be announced Monday, June 22, 2020, via the firm’s Facebook page at facebook.com/allen.and.allen/.
