Attorney Mic McConnell negotiated a $2,500,000 settlement for a woman who was involved in a car accident that left her requiring multiple neck and spine surgeries.

The 55-year-old nurse was rear-ended while she was stopped in traffic. The accident caused her to suffer significant neck injuries which resulted in her requiring a series of neck and spine surgeries. These surgeries included discectomy as well as fixation and fusion at the cervical and lumbar levels.

The defense admitted liability in the accident but claimed that the subsequent surgeries were unrelated to the collision as well as denied that the plaintiff was a candidate for the surgeries she had.

The case was eventually settled during mediation six weeks prior to trial.
