Allen & Allen law firm was founded in 1910. We believed then, just as we believe now, that we have a responsibility to support the communities in which we live and work.
Today, our community outreach focuses on youth and family. Our employees frequently volunteer for a wide range of community projects.
An extension of our community outreach is the Allen & Allen Personal Injury Law Firm High School Scholarship Program. Every year we award nearly $25,000 in scholarships to 15 high school seniors across Central Virginia.
Charitable Outreach Beyond Central Virginia
In 2003, we sponsored a medical mission to Guatemala under the auspices of the International Hospital for Children. A 14-member neurosurgical team, led by Dr. John D. Ward of Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, performed 29 surgeries on 23 children in five days. One of our partners, R. Clayton Allen, accompanied the volunteer doctors and nurses on the trip. The firm sponsored a similar mission in 2004.
"The sponsorship of a medical mission to Guatemala by the personal-injury law firm of Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen is in a sense part of the firm's extensive marketing efforts. But, as R. Clayton Allen noted, 'We're not getting any clients from Guatemala. For us, it was internal … For our employees and our firm, this is what we are and what we ought to be doing.'" – Richmond Times-Dispatch, June 21, 2003 Click here to read the article.
In 2005, our firm contributed $10,000 to benefit relief efforts for victims of the devastating tsunami in Southeast Asia.
Most recently, we raised $7,000 to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
"This is a family law firm in every sense. We care about each other as a family and about our clients and the community in which we live." – Barbara Sensabaugh, Allen & Allen claims consultant
