Ashby B. Allen

Although retired, Ashby still participates in Allen & Allen firm meetings and events and shares his legal experience with partners and associates alike. He carries an extensive background in personal injury and products liability litigation, and has battled successfully some of the largest corporations in America.

With a lifelong interest in science and engineering, Ashby has developed substantial expertise in the fields of mechanics, electricity, hydraulics and safety engineering. He has handled cases involving injuries from construction accidents, fires, explosions, aircraft crashes, amusement park rides, brake failures, defective appliances, railroad, and tractor accidents.

Ashby believes the Allen firm's dedication to every client has created a special work environment within the firm. His greatest professional passion has been working on cases involving manufacturing defects. He says he never took on a case he didn't expect to win.

Ashby takes pleasure in using his mechanical abilities to develop improvements in equipment safety and efficiency. He and his wife, Sara, a real estate agent, live in Richmond, Virginia where Ashby enjoys working on his yard and gardens.

An ideal day for Ashby is spent at Virginia Beach. A passionate football fan, Ashby has attended six Super Bowls.
